Gardening as Art 2

NMPAC is partnering with Lyndon Penner a radio celebrity / expert gardener and Megan Evans a talented Calgary clay artist to bring you a series of gardening talks and an opportunity to make some Christmas gifts and garden artifacts. Participants will enjoy lively discussion, a great social experience and learn how gardening is an art form that can be practiced with the same zest and enthusiasm as any of the other arts.

Enjoy creating unique stoneware objects and engage with other passionate gardeners!

"This course will be a continuation of the 'Gardening as Art' course started in April, but fear not! If you didn't take this course the first time around, you're still going to have a great time and learn a lot! Having attended the first part of the course is NOT a pre-requisite for attending the second; in fact, even if you've never gardened before in your life, you're sure to have a good time and discover lots of new ways to be artistic in your life and garden! This course will feature a presentation on the use of garden focal points, as well as a look at sexuality in the garden- while the subject of nudity is prominent in both sculpture and paintings; it's uncommon to look at plants and flowers this way! You'll never look at a blossom quite the same way again..."
